Betchn' Body

1 1/2 cups almond flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 large eggs
5 tbs coconut oil
2tbs honey
1tsp vanilla
1/2 cup fruit ( i use frozen berry mix)
Mix ingredients together in blender.
Put on frying pan.
when pancake make bubbles flip.
FRY BACON

Okay- so while I’m bent over in some vinyasa flow motion i’m always thinking of a million things- even when the teacher says: “close your eyes and let go- stop thinking”… these are the things I’m actually thinking about when I should be in OMMMMMM
1. why is that bitch in front of me not even sweating

3. seriously why is that asshole not wearing deodorant…
4. k no… why didnt that asshole find a shower today
5. i’m slipping off my mat…im slippinggggg
6. seriously that girls boobs are so fake…. i seriously need to get boobs
7. i should have just stayed at home and had dinner
8. how come everyone in here has a huge tattoo… i need to call my tattoo guy
9. fuck that one tattoo of mine was such a dumb mistake
10. why dont guys understand that back hair isnt O.K

-Also does anyone else sit around and judge anyone who sits closest to the mirror? I’m pretty sure if your balls are big enough to sit that close and I have to stare at you the whole class… you better be freaking ghandi of yoga.

For the last year I went on a mission to give myself the life/body I always wanted. But my weigh loss stalled at around 14 pounds of just working out… and thats when that work DIET came to find me. Now, a diet to a girl like me means—- water, eggs and lettuce- which made me want to DIE. Seriously I HATE diets- but I hated being unhappy every time I looked in the mirror more.
So this is my advice to all my ladies out there who have found themselves face to face with the words DIET.
Every week cut out something. For example I started with a few things- Cheese, diet coke (holy hell), and bagels. Now to some people they might think no big deal. But to a girl who loves her cream cheese- loosing that jew was pretty upsetting. But then a week went by and (a) forgot about bagels and (b) lost 4 pounds. Cant fight the scale.
Fuck.
So as the weeks went on I started cutting more things- potatoes, rice, bread, sugar. Til eventually I converted to full on PALEO. Now if you know me- you know I was a total PALEO basher. I’m sorry but when you first hear about this diet you think those betches are fucking crazy. HIGH PROTEIN AND HIGH FAT- NO CARBS, SUGARS, LEGUMES AND/OR DAIRY. But what the hell- I gave myself a year to give myself the life I wanted. So- what the hell.
6 weeks later- 20 pounds down- I’m mushcfaster and leaner. I feel better- no bloating and I have way more energy. I’m going to say going PALEO definitely wasnt as painful as going to my laser hair appointments.
Now just to buy me some boobs…

My wonderful friend B is having a little crisis… the same crisis we all have once or a million times in our lives. Vacation is coming up…and her post baby body needed some work! So she’s been killing it in the gym! BUT the scale keeps going up! Theres lots of reasons this happens and I found an article to explain why :)

The best way to monitor your progress is through a front/side picture taken the same day every week. and Measurements taken the same day every week.
Remember every week you have to work HARDER to continue weight loss…bodies make adjustment to the same workout- therefore your results wont increase unless your intensity increases. :)
Stay Positive, EAT CLEAN and stop making excuses.

Filling:
3 whole eggs
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup coconut oil
Crust:
1 cup of raw almonds
1 cup of raw pecans (any other nut you have on hand would work too)
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup of melted virgin coconut oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon sea salt
Filling Directions:
1. Blend the eggs, honey, and lemon juice together in a small sauce pan until thoroughly combined.
2. Turn the heat on to medium high and add coconut oil, mixing regularly until the oil has melted.
3. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
4. Remove from pan and place in a bowl in the refrigerator to cool and thicken further.
Crust Directions:
1. Place nuts in a food processor or blender and pulse until finely chopped, but not pureed. You may have little chunks of nuts, and that is fine.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse again until well combined.
3. Spread over the bottom of a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. (lining the pan with parchment paper will make the pan easier to clean)
4. Bake for 15-18 minutes in a 400 degree oven, until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
5. Cool completely before layering the filling over the top. Return to the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Love sheppard’s pie but hate that calorie load? Try the paleo version!
* Take 1 head of cauliflower
1. cut off ends and leafs.
2. Break apart stalks and place in a medium saucepan.
3. add 1 to 1/2 cups of chicken stalk
4. bring to a boil til cauliflower is soft and can be broken apart
5. Drain Cauliflower and place into mixer bowl, add 1 tbs of pepper and 2 tbs of mashed garlic
6. turn on mixer to medium until consistency of mashed potatoes is reached then stop and put aside.
7. place spicy/Italian hot ground turkey into got frying pan, cook until browned. I also added Italian spicy sausage and hot pepper flakes!
8. add in a cup of diced onions, 1 cup of diced tomatoes, 1 cup of diced orange pepper, 1/2 cup of diced celery.
9. combine and cook until onions are soft
10. grease 9 x 9 casserole dish and press meat mixture in. Add mashed cauliflower on top and spinkle pepper on top.
11. Place in oven at 400c until cauliflower top browns on the side
